Video & audio production

PSA: United to learn
For my final project for video & audio production, we were tasked with creating a PSA for an organization of our choosing. I chose United to Learn. An organization based out of Dallas that strives to eliminate opportunity gaps for those students in the Dallas public school system. For this project I conducted many interviews, collected B-roll as well as ambient sound, and added captions, a background track, and a VO. Required to stay under a minute, I focused on the story while educating the audience with reliable sources.
Standalone Video
For my standalone video project, I chose SMU's Celebration of Lights for my story. The script and footage are important because of the lack of interview. I chose obvious "Christmas" music to signal viewers what this video would be about. I used audio elements to transition my video elements as well.

Podcast
On today's episode, I talk to Caroline Peterson. A sophomore here at SMU. After transferring to SMU for her spring semester freshman year, Caroline not only traded in orange and blue team colors but also hung up her soccer cleats. She could not have expected to see herself where she is today wearing a red and blue pom squad practice uniform.
